Before your first visit: registering and vaccinating your pet
Dubai requires dogs and cats to be microchipped, vaccinated and registered with Dubai Municipality, with registration renewed each year. Rabies is required for registration, while core dog vaccination (DHPP) and cat vaccination (FVRCP) schedules are set by your vet around your pet's age, health and history. Most JLT vets can help with microchipping, vaccinations and tag registration, but confirm what the clinic handles when you book. That tag matters day-to-day too. Dogs need a valid Dubai Municipality ID tag to use JLT's dog parks.
