Our theme 'Capture the essence of JLT: A neighbourhood full of soul' is your ticket to explore our vibrant community and capture what makes our community special. From lush parks and glimmering skyscrapers to dog-friendly spaces and diverse restaurants, this is your chance to win big.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or only just embarking on your photography journey, this competition is your time to shine. One lucky photographer will be awarded a brand new Sony Alpha 6700 ILCE-6700 Premium E-mount APS-C Camera!

How does it work?

Step 1 📸

Upload your original photo to Instagram, with a brief caption explaining how your entry captures the essence of JLT. Make sure to tag @JLTbyDMCC and @SonyMEA, along with the hashtag #CaptureJLTwithSony.

Step 2 📱

Follow @JLTbyDMCC and @SonyMEA on Instagram.

Step 3 🖼️

DMCC and Sony judges will choose the best 10 photos from all entries. The shortlisted photos will be uploaded on the JLT Instagram page, with respective photographers tagged.

Step 4 🏆

Our followers will then vote in the comments for their favourite photo by tagging the respective photographer - most number of tags, wins!

Terms and conditions

This competition is open to residents of the UAE. Shortlisted participants will be required to provide proof of residency
Entries can be captured via mobile phone or professional cameras
No Photoshop or image manipulation is allowed and will result in disqualification if participants are found to have edited their photos
Participants must follow both @JLTbyDMCC and @SonyMEA channels in order to qualify
All entries must include the hashtag #CaptureJLTwithSony
One submission per user only
If carousels are submitted, the first photo will be the only one eligible for the competition
Posts uploaded before the start date of the competition (12 August) will not be considered
All entries must be photographed in JLT
Likes on post should not be bought and will result in immediate disqualification
No fake, paid or bot profiles will be considered
Submissions should be presented in a family-friendly fashion, i.e, no inappropriate clothing, symbols, or political or religious symbols
Any submission using inappropriate speech or discrimination or any kind will be disqualified
Any submission that features individuals must obtain explicit consent by the model with written consent
By submitting your photo, you agree to let DMCC or Sony use your photos in the future, with full credit given to the photographer
Competition closes on 27 August 2023, at 12am. Submissions shared after this time will not be considered.
Grand prize cannot be exchanged for vouchers or cash
Upon announcing the winner, we will require proof of identity
The winner will be announced on 7 September 2023
